Ti Guan Yin

Tieguanyin, which translates to 'Iron Goddess of Mercy', is one of the most famous teas from China. Vegetal butter notes up front with a floral backend and a smooth honeyed finish. Unlike other teas where older tea plants are preferred, prized Tieguanyin comes from younger tea plants ranging in age from 3 to 10 years.

This traditional Chinese oolong has a higher oxidation than the more popular Taiwanese oolongs, giving it a more medium-bodied finish with flavors of dried fruit and sweet finish. For a trip back in time to the first creations of oolong, Ti Kuan Yin is the tea to drink.
